Rikaz Supports Children in Evacuation Centers in Sidon

During the war in Lebanon, many families were forced to leave their homes and seek safety in evacuation centers. For families with young children, meeting basic needs became especially difficult. Milk and diapers were among the essential items that parents needed to care for their children during this challenging period. As part of its humanitarian efforts, Rikaz distributed milk and diapers to children and families staying at Hikmat Al-Sabbagh Official Secondary School for Girls in Sidon, providing essential support and helping families through a difficult time.

Supporting Children During the War

The war created difficult circumstances for families across Lebanon. Many people had to leave their homes and find temporary places where they could stay safely with their children.

For families with babies and young children, displacement brought additional challenges. Parents had to think about food, milk, diapers, hygiene products, and other basic needs while dealing with uncertainty and stress.

In Sidon, Rikaz responded to these needs by supporting families staying in an evacuation center and focusing on essential items for children.

  • Help parents meet some of their children’s basic needs.
  • Bring comfort and relief during a difficult period.

Supporting Families at an Evacuation Center

For families who had been displaced from their homes, life in an evacuation center could be challenging.

Parents were not only dealing with the uncertainty of the war, but also with the daily responsibility of caring for their children in unfamiliar surroundings.

Providing milk and diapers may seem like a simple form of assistance, but for a family facing a crisis, these essentials can make an important difference.

Rikaz focused on helping families meet immediate needs while reminding them that they were not alone during this difficult time.
