The Rikaz for Development and Education Association recently hosted a special ceremony in Shheim. The event honored Sheikh Said Youssef Fawaz, the representative of Dar Al-Fatwa in Canada and director of the Islamic Cultural Center in Montreal. The event, held at the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque, brought together local leaders and community members to celebrate his lifelong commitment to humanitarian work.
The ceremony opened with Quranic recitations, followed by the Lebanese national anthem.
Mohammad Fawaz then delivered a welcome speech. He emphasized the importance of education for the people of the Chouf region.
The event also featured a video showcasing ركازالمستمرة في مجال التنمية المستدامة والتعليم.
Furthermore, تحدث دانيال بيه، ركازنائب رئيس جمعية ركاز، عن تأثير الشيخ فواز، مشيراً إلى دوره كرمز للتفاني والإنسانية في لبنان وفي أنحاء العالم. ركازوأشاد بعمله وتوافق رؤية ركاز مع قيمه.
In Addition, أعرب الشيخ فواز عن امتنانه لهذا التكريم، متأملاً في مسيرته التي امتدت لخمسين عاماً. وتحدث عن اعتزازه بجذوره في شحيم واهتمامه المستمر في كندا، خاصة بعد مجزرة المسجد في كيبيك ودعمه المستمر للقضية الفلسطينية.
Finally, اختتم الحفل بتقديم هدية رمزية للشيخ فواز تكريماً لعمله المؤثر. عبر محمد حميه، مدير مركز رعاية وتنمية إقليم الخروب، عن تقديره لجهود الشيخ فواز في خدمة القضايا الإنسانية.
